Electrum wallet is an SPV validated, medium level of anonymity wallet, supported on operating systems like Windows, Linux, and Mac OS. It currently only supports Bitcoin. It does not require the users to download the complete blockchain instead it uses a network of specialized servers that index the blockchain. The servers are authenticated using SSL. It allows cold storage and Multi-Signature and is open source but lacks features like Hierarchical Deterministic and 2 Factor Authentication. It can be used on multiple computers at the same time. The users private key is stored in the users machine and the user has complete control and access to the keys.

It could be better if it supported more coins and had some built in exchange with more security options. However, I would still use this wallet and the design is quite simple and easy to use. .
