Zilliqa partners with DMM and LayerX to expand adoption of Scilla in Japan
This is one of the announcements made at their meetup in Singapore yesterday
Zilliqa, the scalability-focused blockchain platform, has just announced it signed a partnership with two Japanese companies that will help the project with mass adoption of their smart contract language, Scilla, in Japan.
At their meetup held in Singapore this September 19, 2018, Zilliqa shared the mic with three other blockchain-related companies – these being world-renowned cryptocurrency trading platform and wallet Coinbase; Japanese blockchain consultant and developer LayerX; and Japan Tech Giant DMM – to talk about tools development, use cases and new initiatives for blockchain adoption.
During the event, Zilliqa came to an agreement with both LayerX and DMM to help spread the word on their smart contract language, Scilla, in Japan, through hands-on workshops to their communities.
“Just announced at our meetup in Singapore today: We will be partnering with @LayerXcom and @DMM_com to drive the adoption of #Scilla, our smart contract language, for dApp development in Japan,” said the tweet published by Zilliqa.
This new partnership, if successful, could prove important for the aforementioned blockchain startup, as Japan is a crypto-friendly territory with a high tendency to adopt new blockchain-based solutions to further improve the crypto ecosystem.
Scilla (Smart Contract Intermediate Level Language) is a programming language developed by Zilliqa, aiming to address security issues and other vulnerabilities by eliminating them directly at the language-level, making dApps more amenable for formal verification in the process. Formal verification is done thanks to the Coq proof assistant, described as a state-of-the-art tool for mechanized proofs about properties of programs.
