Tezos Foundation to allocate funds for training developers
They expect to have 1,000 trained Tezos-focused programmers by 2019
The Tezos Foundation has recently announced that starting today, it will be committing funds to encourage the training of at least 1,000 developers so they can create software for the Tezos (XTZ) ecosystem. According to the press release, the Foundation is going to award grants to organizations that can produce well-versed software developers.
“The Tezos Foundation is proud to announce that it is committing funding to train at least 1,000 new Tezos-focused software developers in 2019,” says the news.
These funds are intended to support the creation and development of training programs that include online tutorials, training materials, course preparations, documentation and other training tools, so participants can hone their abilities in developing software that can improve the Tezos protocol. Smart contracts, decentralized applications and other tools are expected to be built on top of this blockchain.
In addition, these organizations can get in touch with existing dev teams to get help in planning, developing and executing these training programs, or if they want to, they can begin projects on their own.
These grants will be issued actively by the Foundation throughout 2019, as part of its grantmaking initiative for encouraging the development on its blockchain platform.
As reported yesterday, the Tezos Foundation has update the community in regards of its asset management policy. About 82% of their current holdings are in other cryptocurrency – the Bitcoin (BTC) – and will continue to diversify a part of their non-XTZ portfolio into liquid and lower-risk asset classes, in order to ensure the continuity of the project in the long term. On the other hand, they have an additional of funds held in XTZ allocated for vesting each month during four years that is not included in the general holding.
And about a week ago, three mobile developers were issued grants by the Foundation, to support their projects on top of Tezos blockchain
