Getting Closer To Lisk Core Mainnet
In the blog post titled "Development Update - Road to Core 1.0 Mainnet", Lisk Team is summing up the current progress and state of the most anticipated part of Lisk project: "Over the past week, the Lightcurve Development team has mainly been working on QA (quality assurance) for Lisk Core 1.0.0-rc.2. This is the most crucial process prior to the release to Mainnet, therefore we are making sure to take our time to ensure with utmost precision the stability of the product. We are also still communicating with many exchanges that will need to properly migrate to Lisk Core 1.0.0."
They explain the latest bugs and issues fixes, with the current focus being the security. The developers solved the problem with nodes migration that may cause some invalid blocks.
Finally, at the end of the blog post, they mention the most important thing that moved the community on Lisk SubReddit: "Lisk Core 1.0.0-rc.2 is our best release candidate to date; it has successfully passed all of the hurdles created on Alphanet. As we are incredibly close to finishing the full QA cycle, we expect to announce the block height at which to perform the Testnet Migration within the next few days."

LSK Price Analysis
The current red market doesn't help with the Lisk's slow downfall. Even though, the project seems to be very close to finally releasing solid product after many months of promises, the supporters and traders don't seem to buy on the news and they prefer to see it being released first before making the LSK price go up. It's worth noting that LSK at one point was trading at $30, while currently it fluctuates around $5. As of today with most of the cryptocurrencies going down, LSK is trading slightly below $4.
