Lisk (LSK) has launched its official mobile crypto wallet
The app is called Lisk Mobile
Blockchain application platform Lisk has reportedly released the first version of its official mobile crypto wallet, Lisk Mobile, for Android and iOS devices. The announcement was made via a Medium post by Lisk.
First introduced in June this year, the mobile version of Lisk’s official wallet was developed by Frontend Developer at ligthcurve Ali Haghighatkhah. The app is described as “an intuitive app for mainstream use, offering a limited feature-set with a special focus on immersive user experience.”
Per the post, it was known that the app saw three internal releases before being published as a Minimum Viable Product (MVP), in order to tune it up and make sure not to leave any loose end. As such, on October 4, version 0.3.0 of the mobile app was made available for everyone who has an Android or iOS device, at the Lisk Berlin Meetup.
Among the features, it has all the basic functionalities one would expect of a cryptocurrency wallet. New users will be able to create a Lisk account and set up a Lisk passphrase. Once done, they will be abler to send and receive LSK tokens, as well as to check the transaction history and account balance.
Since it is the first public release of the app, not many features were added. However, the Lisk team has already announced what they would like to gradually implement for future iterations of their new product, such as biometric authentication for accessing the wallet, continuous sign-in, backup of the account’s passphrase, and an “incognito mode” to keep LSK values and IDs hidden.
Other minor features expected to come in the future are a revamped welcome screen, night mode, dynamic on-boarding, notification support for incoming and outgoing transactions, bookmarked accounts, and support from anywhere within the app.
The post continues by saying that once this first list of features is fully covered, they will move on with other major changes that will turn the app into a fully-featured wallet, expecting to achieve this goal at a late time in 2019.
“We are excited to see Lisk Mobile support us in our quest of increasing blockchain accessibility and ease of use,” the post concludes.
