Ethereum co-founder believes that Ethereum Classic (ETC) is like Bitcoin in its early days

There is still potential in the blockchain Ethereum forked from two years ago

Creator of Cardano and co-founder of Ethereum, Charles Hoskinson, shared his thoughts on the future of Ethereum Classic (ETC) last week, at the 2018 Ethereum Classic Summit held in Seoul, South Korea.

The also CEO of Input Output (IOHK) commented on how ETC reminds him about the early days of Bitcoin, when the lead dev team was composed of only a few individuals working together in such harmony that the growth back then was nimble, while the governance was more seamless and efficient. 

In contrast, despite the numerous milestones achieved by both Bitcoin and Ethereum and the development they have had in the last couple of years, they are struggling to maintain this phase due to constant disagreements, disputes and other issues that only end up slowing their tech development, according to Hoskinson.

He also highlighted the “great value” the Ethereum Classic community has for the upcoming future is that they (he and his company) have to change directions and acquire another roadmap, for the one Ethereum is following up is suitable for their vision no more. “It is sure going to be a fight ahead but we have to be our own guide,” he said, in reference to his involvement in the cryptocurrency ecosystem through IOHK and Cardano.

ETC Moving Ahead With New Announcements

Despite what some people might think of Ethereum Classic, especially when comparing it to its forked similar, its development is surely advancing at its own phase, but with the certainty that the future has something good for the network should they continue to stay together and working in unison.

A couple of days ago, ETC announced the release of its dApps toolkit, named Emerald Software Development Kit, thus accomplishing with one of the achievements established in its roadmap for this year
