Bitshares’ Blockchain Leads The Way As The Most Active In The Last 7 Days
The fundamental value of cryptocurrencies comes from Blockchain projects. This is why the more success a blockchain project has, the better the coin backing it performs. However, reasons such as speculation will always affect the price every now and then. According to Block’tivity, for the past 7 days, the most active blockchain has been Bitshares. Having been on the heels of the most active blockchain in whole, EOS, the coin has finally surpassed it by a mile.
Block’tivity, analyses, and shares on the perspective of blockchain prospects and helps industry players better understand the inner working of different blockchains.
How Significant Is This Achievement?
In August EOS recorded 10,111,725 operations making it the most active blockchain per day. During this time, Bitshares blockchain was not far off and was showing every sign of dethroning EOS. Now according to data from Block’tivity, the platform has surpassed EOS in the last 7 days and has recorded more than 1,605,310 operations every 24 hours. On average, over the last 7 days, the blockchain platform has recorded 1,623,185 operations.
This is an amazing achievement by the platform that aims at creating an “incorruptible public ledger” for different financial organizations like banks. The platform that was launched by Daniel Larimer in 2014 has been making major strides over the years and this makes it the most recent one this year.
This, however, might not necessarily guarantee a better day for Bitshares in the cryptocurrency market. Bitcoin dominates over half of all trades in the market, but, is currently at number 5 when it comes to blockchain activity. This means that much of its success has come from speculations, a testimony shared by most prices in the market. So, although the achievement by Bitshares is amazing, the price of its native currency, BTS, might not be changing just yet.
