As the first cryptocurrency capable of being exported and imported across chains, Metronome will be initially issued on Ethereum with Ethereum Classic, Rootstock on Bitcoin, and Qtum support expected to follow. This allows users to select the chain that suits their requirements for management and security, or even upgrade the MTN contract if needed. The furthers the main goal of Metronome as a cryptocurrency that is built to last, by freeing it from the fate of any one chain.
Metronome will not be controlled by any party after launch—not even its authors—as it is completely autonomous. Bloq plans to continue to help by building an ongoing open-source community to support developers and users, but will have no access or control after the initial auction.
Metronome is a cryptocurrency that is built on Ethereum, Bitcoin and Qtum technologies. This is the first thing that it makes sense to pay attention, since it is difficult to build a radically new solution, based on the ones already created. Developers claim the following benefits: Self-governance (with no undue influence from founders), Reliability and predictability where Issuance and supply are immutable, Portability to enable maximum decentralization, even across different blockchains. However, all these solutions are not unique and are already used in many other crypto-currencies. The very preparation of the project looks good - a large team, many advisors, partners, publications in the media, a legal entity, etc.

My colleagues wrote this report about Metronome. http://strategiccoin.com/metronome-research-report/
The key takeaways were:
• Envisioned by one of the earliest Bitcoin Core developers, Metronome seeks to address several
known issues with existing cryptocurrencies.
• Unlike Bitcoin, it will be fast enough to enable retail transactions. Unlike Ethereum, it will not have
• MTN’s cross-chain capabilities provide “institutional-class endurance.”
• Metronome’s unique issuance model is less deflationary than many other cryptocurrencies. It is
likely to experience upward pricing pressure on the demand side.
• MTN’s estimated initial distribution date: February 2018.
