Such projects very often turn out to be very successful. They don't focus on any service in particular, but offer a base for new projects to be built on. EOS wants to develop "the most powerful infrastructure for decentralized applications". Their whitepapers explain the technical aspect in every detail, but the main features would be scalability for almost endless dapps and flexibility with usability thanks to the EOS tools and a web toolkit for app developers. They offer a very solid base, however the success relies on whether or not developers will want to use this project for their dapps. There are other strong alternatives on the market, so the competition may be tough. It's essential to research the project with the focus on the technical analysis of offered tools and compare it to other dapp-related projects.

Good project, and a professional team working with their community by keeping them up-to-date. Nice response time after contacting them. For me a succesful ICO is not only depending on the idea but also on the effort. Having a nice and well designed website, a detail written whitepaper is an important thing, but the key for success is effort and in case of EOS you can see their effort in their github code. EOS is on my list and I believe in their project...even though their project already can be called a succesful one.

Really nice project, it will definitely reach its goals. It's scalable and very flexible. Team is strong and its backed by industry leaders. I personally like Ethereum blockchain a lot more (because it's already here in the first place), but I cannot say that EOS can't become a better option later on.
Hype is strong too, worth investing.

The future of the blockchain is unknown but what is almost certain is that Ethereum will play its part. I believe it will be the platform of choice for many developers. DApps that we can't yet conceive will be built using solidarity and will be deployed on the Ethereum blockchain. In the early 2020's the blockchain will be a mainstream technology.
Also they are relying on other people as they only launch the blockchain and count that there will be other developers that will build something interesting on it.

During the 80's and 90's Steve Jobs (Apple) and Bill Gates (Microsoft) pioneered a technological revolution. Their fierce rivalry and conflicting views drove innovation, defined the PC market. In the process, they changed the world.

I believe Vitalik Buterin (co-founder) of Ethereum and Dan Larimer CIO of Block. One (EOS) will do for the blockchain what Steve Jobs and Bill Gates did for the PC. They will define the space and change the world in the process.

I also see a future for a competitor. It seemed biggest and best technological revolutions always have two main players. A light and a dark side. A duality. It seems to be a necessary requirement when changing the world.

At the moment EOS is the best contender to be that second player. Here's why:

1. Dan Larimer:

Dan is brilliant. He's super gifted and is a visionary. He's already a huge contributor to the blockchain. He invented the “Proof of Stake” and “Decentralized Autonomous Corporations” concepts. He also has a history of building successful blockchain-based companies. Steemit and BitShares.

But the thing that really makes me want to bet my grandkids college tuition on him (and therefore EOS) is that he's on a mission:

In his words “to find free market solutions to secure life, liberty, and property for all.”

He's the Steve Jobs of the duality if you hadn't worked it out.

2. Scalability:

Ethereum has very real scalability issues. Yes, the team are working hard on rectifying these but they exist. EOS is will be designed from the ground up for mass market adoption. It's being built to handle truly commercial-scale decentralized applications.

3. The Developers:

Ethereum is designed as a neutral platform for all potential applications. It has no built in features that make it easier and quicker for developers to develop.

EOS, on the other hand, is specifically designed to be s easy as possible to develop on. It will have frameworks and features built into it that will facilitate that. Undoubtedly the quality and diversity of the DApps built on either platform will determine its eventual success, this means getting the devs on board. EOS wins this hands down.

If you hadn't gathered already I'm bullish about EOS. It's going for Ethereums jugular so if it's a success then the ROI will be huge. There are downsides though. Arent there always?

The main ones I see are:

1. Timing. Is it just too late? The EOS ICO will last until 11 June 2018 so don't expect the first release of EOS before then. During that time will the blockchain have evolved? Will organisation have already chosen Ethereum as their platform of choice so there is no market share left?

2. EOS's white paper is ambitious and so it should be but what if the Dev team under deliver or the technology just isn't feasible? Personally, believe Dan is the man for this but we won't know for sure until the product is out.

So there you have it. I think it's a two horse race and there is room for two winners to take an equal share of the market. If you have invested in EOS or are thinking about it (there is still plenty of time) then, if the team succeeds, the ROI will be huge but like any other ICO there are very real risks.

For me, our job as technology investors is to bet on people. I've read a lot about Dan Larimer and frankly the more I read the more impressed I get. I for one am all in on EOS.

My review of EOS

Advantages:
-. Parallel Processing: The ability to do things in parallel, faster transcation speeds and more scalability.
-. A Constitution: A set of rules on which everyone agrees upon, these are linked to every block mined.
-. Self Sufficiency and Evolution: The current model allows for a 5% inflation, this will be used to develop the network further.
-. EOS is similar to a decentralised operating system, in practice this means that developers can build applications on EOS. Owning EOS coins is a claim on server resources. A developer needs to have EOS coins to use the EOS blockchain. Developers will not spend the coins to use the server resources, s/he just need to prove they hold them.

Disadvantages:
EOS is still a baby and still needs to make it’s first steps before it can be considered mature.

As a start EOS is new and investing in it will be with a high risk but it will make the gain even higher. EOS is a good investment according to one’s own personal risk regarding investments and investment portfolio.
the good part of EOS is there is no fees for transaction that make the chances to win the competition against Ethereum higher.

EOS will be the next big thing! Daniel Larimer founded the 2 community projects that has now worth 1 billion USD such amazing. The people behind this are very hardworking. It may have lapses and still need to work on it to attract more potential investors who are interested in this.
i hope this project will be successful

I am fond of this project for it great possibilities in many ways.It has huge potential in the near future for growth due to low costs. For that it will be a coin for real use as payment but also for development. This coin is also still cheap to buy.Very good investment for the near future.Could be the next ethereum!I should say if you want to invest now that this is a coin for small investors.

I really like how the site looks and it handles well too. I think EOS will be very successfull in the future.
But I am also very sceptical about ICOs now a days. So many scams try to take our money. But seeing the team behind EOS I think this will be a great success.
