Civic aims to act as an online passport. An user can store there all his private and vulnerable information and decide what part of it he wants to share with someone else. Blockchain technology in this case, takes care of any security or validation issues as it can securely store and encrypt user private information, while it's transparency makes sure it is not changed or forged. Trustworthy providers like banks, utility companies or public institution may find this method of identity verification useful. Site design looks good, all the necessary information is provided. The team is traceable and consists of real people.

Your identity is your most important asset. For the sake of the seconds of convenience this offers, I'm not entirely sure that people are going to be willing to relinquish the comfort of human-to-human validation of identity. The token utility isn't very exciting - but it does have a fairly stable use case. For this reasons, I can't imagine any huge fluctuations in demand that would send the price up.

Looks like a crazy idea but in fact it is a very fundimenttal change to current system. Established on blockchain will enbale it decentralized and provide stable and security for whole system. Technolodge can make a lot of change to our current system in near future.

Maybe a reality where every person on Earth is register in some database seems scare for some people, I think that it would be a really useful thing, considering also that the data is stored in blockchain and is strongly encrypted as this project aims to do. In this case scenario, there would be no problems of learning the identity of any person, for example criminals, or nonamed refugees and prisoners. You could go to a hospital in any country and they would be able to get your medical record only with the touch of your finger. There will be no identity thieves, scams or credits taken in someone's name.

Some people may find it scary, but it will be encrypted and only you can give access to it so I think it will be a better world with a lot of legal things taking place much easier and faster.

While I like the idea that it will make your future transactions hassle-free, I'm having an issue with the security of the data I'll be giving. And what about the power of attorney? Will the team work with the credit bureaus fraud alert on your account once there's an incident of identity theft? Will your name be removed from prescreened credit offers on your official subscription after the incident? Will the company offer mediation credit disputes, find legal representation and help with the court fees? Also, how will we guarantee that the details I've given will not be used against me?

I have to say that while I'm trying so hard to see the advantages of Civic, I still do not feel comfortable with this project. First lets understand the core concept of civic. Civic presents itself as a secure identity platform under a decentralized blockchain system. This is suppose to mean that with Civic, you can upload all your personal data on the blockchain, and have it secure. Also you can can this data as you want. My proble with this platform is one of trust. I just do not trust what it claims to do, I have a fear that there might be a way my data would be traced back to me.

Civic is a identity verification product which encrypts personal data in the blockchain, i.e. quite difficult to hack.
ICO is cruising to high levels. Strong consensus from users so far. Technology which can find many different applications in the near future.

One universal tool that let's a person decide which part of the information to share with whom. It will open a variety of possibilities. As for example registration and verification of your personal data on some website will then be able to be done by only sharing the name part or the required information. You don't need to give out instantly everything about yourself, it's securely encrypted and hidden. Government and authorities will also easily check anybody's personal information so I can see it being done much more easier and it will be hard to have fake IDs or passports as you can't counterfeit blockchain.
