AdEx is a blockchain-based ad exchange aiming at disrupting the existing online advertising landscape and address its significant problems: advertising fraud, privacy and consent to receiving sponsored messages, etc. AdEx is completely transparent and built on top of Ethereum smart contracts.
Despite my concerns I can clearly say that the advisory team, the founders and the technology team behind this Project is robust and with their team working on gaining blockchain development experience, it shows their long term commitment in developemnt of the technology and the project. Even my interaction with Ivo helped address many of my concerns I have and he seemed very approachable and helpful which are qualities of a good founder.
Advertising industry especially digital advertising is a rapidly evolving landscape and Blockchain has a very important part to play in how the content and Ads get delivered and how transparency is achieved in this industry. In this respect I feel that this project is a right step in that direction and wish their ICO helps in realizing the financial aim to achieve their Roadmap.
Backed by a strong technical team and WINGS DAO & Bitmain founders in the advisory board the future of this AdEx platform looks promising. Also the good thing about this team is that the AdEx platform and its protocol is simpler and agile to incorporate with exiting Ad infrastructure rather creating their own entry points to provide their solution. Also they are leveraging on their strengths i.e. video streaming as the starting point for the AdEx platform to evolve.
The fact that they are going for a token sale even before their POC or prototype is ready, creates a concern as to why should investors should put money just based on the basis of their research.
Yeah, today's advertisement tend to be annoying, popping out and disturbing the work. We are being constantly traced and they are forcing products in our throats. A blockchain's transparency could put an end to it and make them more user friendly so that we can enjoy what we see and get interested in these products.
However, if I had to support any project related to solving the ad problem with blockchain technology I would go with Basic Attention Token.
